Dragonfly Yoga is just north of the shopping center that contains the Plaid Pig, Bravo Pizza and Dunkin Donuts and on the same side of Route 100 as the Bucktown Sunoco.

Ayurveda is the sister science of Yoga. It is used to align your lifestyle with your life’s purpose. Topics include understanding your body type, nutritional counseling for your body type and the Yoga philosophy of wellness.
Yoga for Cyclists, Equestrians and other Athletes
Yin is a seated practice that focuses on the connective tissue of the hips and lower back. Ideal for cyclists, equestrians, runners and other sports enthusiasts. Increase your flexibility and strength to enhance your performance in your other althetic endeavors.
Hot 26
A standing stationary Yoga practice done with a focus on anatomical alignment done primarily in various standing postures (26). No system or cell of your body is untouched by this practice. Suitable for all experience levels.
Heated Vinyasa
A slow, hot, deep Vinyasa Yoga practice that is sequenced to promote a detoxifying sweat and relieve stress. Introduction and exploration of arm balances and inversions. Should have taken at least 3 Vinyasa classes.
Beginner Hatha
Beginner classes focus on teaching correct yogic breathing practices, the proper mechanics of about 30-35 elementary “building block” postures, and the specifics of taking the Root and Chin Locks which are critical in the quality performance of Asana Yoga.

When participants see a Zumba class in action, they can’t wait to give it a try. Zumba classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Before you know it, you’ll be getting fit and your energy levels will be soaring. It’s easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating!
Zumba Gold
Zumba Gold targets the baby boomer generation. It takes the Zumba formula and modifies the moves and pacing to suit the needs of the active older participant as well as those just starting their journey to a fit and healthy lifestyle. Its a dance-fitness class that is friendly and most of all FUN !
Therapeutic/Gentle Yoga Class
This class is designed for those with joint pain or injuries. Ideal for those with lower back or neck pain, knee or shoulder pain, tendonitis or arthritis. This class is geared toward students who are not able to perform the Sun Salutations because of physical limitations and/or for students for whom “yoga props” make Yoga possible.
Pole Dance BootCamp
Each level will be taught in a six week cycle with one class being held weekly for six consecutive weeks. In order to take the next level class, one must have successfully completed the prior level. For example, to take a Master’s level class (Level 4), one must have completed levels 1, 2 and 3 successfully.
Pilates
Pilates is an exercise system that is focused on building strength without bulk, improving flexibility and agility, and helping to prevent injury. It involves a series of controlled movements that engage both your body and mind with a focus on awareness of the spine, proper breathing, building core strength and increasing flexibility. The result of Pilates training is a balanced body which is strong and supple, a flat stomach, balanced legs and a strong back.
Tai Chi
Tai Chi is a Chinese gentle exercise system that uses slow, smooth body movements to achieve a state of relaxation of both body and mind. It consists of a standing person performing a series of postures or bodily movements in a slow and graceful manner, with each movement flowing without pause to the next. The five essential qualities of Tai Chi are:
- Slowness to develop awareness.
- Lightness to make movements flow.
- Balance to prevent body strain.
- Calmness to maintain continuity.
- Clarity to focus the mind.
If done regularly, it improves muscle tone, flexibility, balance and coordination. Many older people find that it boosts their energy, stamina, agility and sharpens their reflexes and gives an overall sense of well-being. The calming and meditative aspects of Tai Chi allow many to experience its ability to relieve stress.
